Day 1: Ha Noi Mai Chau (170 Km - 6 Hours Riding)
Our first day starts with a pick-up at your hotel in Hanoi at 8:00 am. We’ll help you put on your safety gear while we load your luggage onto the back of our motorbike. Then, we’ll start our journey through the bustling streets of Hanoi before heading into the countryside.
Our route takes us to the remote Hoa Binh Hydro Electricity where you’ll be able to soak in the stunning landscape of the Vietnamese countryside. We’ll then continue on to wind through the magnificent Thung Khe mountain passes before descending into the picturesque mountain valley of Mai Chau. This area is the homeland of the Thai Ethnic Minority Group, and you’ll have the chance to stay overnight in their traditional Stilt House. You’ll be served a delicious dinner with regional specialties made by your hosts.

Day 2: Mai Chau - Ninh Binh (150 Km - 5 Hours Riding)
After a peaceful night in the traditional Stilt House of the Thai Ethnic Minority Group, we wake up to the sounds of the rustic village. We enjoy a delicious breakfast and a cup of coffee while observing the morning activities of the friendly locals. So We can take a walk through the village to experience the rural life of the Thai people and take some great shots of the stunning rice fields and picturesque views.
Then resume our motorbike journey and ride to Ho Chi Minh Trail through the isolated country roads. On the way, we stop to check out some of the sights, including the Spiritual Fish Springs, Fairy Caves, and Ho Dynasty Citadel. These historical and natural landmarks offer visitors a glimpse into Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage.
As we continue our ride, we witness the stunning scenery of Vietnam’s countryside with its lush greenery and dramatic karst mountains. We arrive at the small town of Ninh Binh before sunset and check-in to our accommodation for the night.
Day 3: Ninh Binh - Thanh Hoa (90 Km - 2 Hours Riding)
On the third day of your Easy Rider Hanoi to Hoi An. We will take you to explore some of the most breathtaking natural and cultural wonders of Northern Vietnam. After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Ninh Binh, we will take you on a relaxing rowing boat ride to visit the amazing Tam Coc – Bich Dong. Make sure to have your camera or smartphone handy as the magnificent landscape will overwhelm you in every turn.
We will get back on our motorbike and head to Cuc Phuong National Park. This park is home to some rare species of animals, including the Delacour’s langur, one of the world’s most endangered primates. We will take you on a guided tour to witness the wildlife in their natural habitat.
Next, we will visit Bai Dinh Temple, the largest temple complex in Southeast Asia. This Buddhist temple has a rich history dating back to the 11th century and features stunning architecture, intricate carvings, and impressive statues.
Finally, we will arrive in Thanh Hoa in the late afternoon, where you can unwind and rest after a day full of interesting attractions. At Thanh Hoa, we will stay overnight in comfortable accommodation.
Day 4: Thanh Hoa - Vinh (224 Km - 7 Hours Riding)
On the fourth day of our Hanoi to Hoi An motorbike tour, we start our adventure by following the scenic Ma River. Our first stop of the day is at the Dong Loc Three-Way Crossroads, a place of great significance during the Vietnam War. Here, we pay tribute to the brave soldiers who lost their lives defending their country.
Moving on, we visit the Nguyen Du Great Poet Monument, a tribute to one of Vietnam’s greatest literary icons. We also stop by the Huong Tich Pagoda, a magnificent shrine nestled in the stunning mountainside.
As we continue on our journey, we arrive at the charming town of Ky Anh in the early evening. Here, we settle down for the night, recharging our batteries and preparing for another day of exciting exploration.
Day 6: Ky Anh - Phong Nha (180 Km - 6 Hours Riding)

We embark on a long and exciting motorbike journey through the dense, unspoiled jungles of the World Heritage Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. This epic adventure takes us through several significant locations where North Vietnam’s soldiers and trucks crossed into Laos during the Vietnam War.
As we continue our ride after a satisfying lunch, we travel along the western side of the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail. We traverse breathtaking mountain passes and old-growth jungles, making this motorbike journey a dream come true for adventure seekers. Along the way, we encounter many remote ethnic minority villages, giving us a glimpse of “the real Vietnam” that few outsiders ever experience.
Our destination for the day is Khe Sanh, which was the site of a former U.S Marine base and the location of the famous siege that preceded the Tet Offensive in 1968. We check into our hotel and stay overnight, reflecting on the significance of the locations we visited during the day’s ride.
Day 9: Khe Sanh - Hue (190 Km - 6 Hours Riding)
Our motorbike adventure continues as we leave the historic Khe Sanh behind us and head towards the beautiful coast. But before we reach the sea, we stop at some significant locations along the way. First, we visit the Khe Sanh Combat Base, Ta Con Airfield, and Khe Sanh Museum. Where we learn more about the brutal battle that took place here during the Vietnam War.
After this, we descend towards the coast, stopping to visit the Hien Luong Bridge at the 17th Parallel, which once divided Vietnam into two countries. And the Vinh Moc Tunnels, a network of underground tunnels that sheltered thousands of villagers during the war.
As we ride along the peaceful flat country roads and admire the stunning Tam Giang Lagoon. We can feel the weight of history and the resilience of the Vietnamese people. Finally, we arrive at our destination: the Imperial City of Hue, located on the banks of the picturesque Perfume River.

Day 10: Hue - Hoi An (Or Da Nang) (175 Km - 5 Hours Riding)
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before hitting the road once again. Today, we’ll be heading east along the picturesque coastal road. As we ride through small country back roads, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the locals’ way of life in fishing villages. Take a break and dip your toes in the sea, chat with fishermen, and snap some photos. Soon, we’ll reach the base of the mountain and happen upon a stretch of pristine coastline of Lang Co Peninsula.
Our next stop is the Elephant Springs, a natural wonder that provides great opportunities for fantastic photographs. The beautiful natural lake at the bottom of the springs is a great spot for a refreshing swim after a long ride.
We’ll then head south and climb up the Hai Van Pass, which was featured in Top Gear Vietnam. The winding roads take us higher and higher into the often cloud-shrouded skies. At the top, we’ll take a break and witness the spectacular views of Vietnam’s most scenic spots. The descent is equally thrilling as we wind our way down the other side of the pass.
Our next destination is Marble Mountain, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area and panoramic views of Da Nang City. Tra Que Vegetable Village is also well worth visiting, where you can learn about local farming practices and witness the beautiful vegetable gardens.
